Non-Invasive & Easy to use

The PDRU opens a drum the way it was meant to be opened, only from a guarded distance. Our tool is non-invasive and requires no energy source. It is totally manual! Simply pull the handle and release the pressure. The PDRU is light-weight and easy to store.

Controlled Release

The PDRU provides the user with a controlled release of pressure from bung type drums by manually opening the bung cap from a remote and sheltered location. The operator determines how fast the drum should be vented; preventing a rapid expulsion of vapor and contents to the area. A controlled release is not as predictable with open head drums; for this reason we have provided the Rigid Retainer to prevent the drum lid from becoming a projectile during remote drum venting operations.

Other Uses

The PDRU is not only for Hazmat Response use. It can also be used on those drums that are just too hard to open with a regular bung wrench or socket wrench. Our two foot extendable handle gives the user just the right leverage to break loose even rusted on bung caps and bolts.
